CLASSIC IDIOCY
The numpty bureaucrats and politicians are at it again, and our classic cars are under threat this time.
There is an EU proposal to ban the use of cars older than 10 years. but environmentalists fail to grasp that removing an old vehicle from the roads and replacing it with a new vehicle will cause more environmental damage that if it was continued in use for the remainder of it's useful life. Most of thrse vehicles are used for occasional hobby purposes only. Edinburgh city Council is also considering the banning of cars that are more that 15 years old from the town centre. such proposals directly threaten the classic car movement and encourage the man ufacture of new cars,with the attendant environmental issues of sourcing raw materials, manufacturing and distributing them.
